So, one of my friends came over today and he wanted to play some splitscreen. Usually, I don't play too seriously with him, as he's a casual gamer who doesn't own an xbox let alone halo 2, and I like him to enjoy it, but I've been wanting to play so badly that I played like it was matchmaking and obliterated him. He quit before the match ended :(

I have that problem all the time, except my friends take the beating. I play system link all the time w/ my friends and whenever I'm on a team, that team will destroy the other team. Even when I try not to kill them quickly and give them a chance, they still can't do it. At least they're good sports.Quote:

Also, has anyone tried getting good with the shitty brute shot? Because its in quite a useful position on coagulation, you can really fuck up vehicles when they respawn if you're a good shot with it (haven't tried attacking a moving one though). Everyone passes on it straight away, so if you could become a surgeon with it who knows, it could be useful for pinning down people in their base (though obviously inferior to many other choices)
If I am going to their base, and my secondary weapon sucks ass I will save a BR, and pick up the Brute Shot. The reason I do is 1, it can mess up some vehicles, especially ghosts. I tend to find that there is normally a ghost around or near those caves that will attack you, that Brute Shot will definately scare it away if you hit it with a few shots. Secondly, if you make it down to the base, it's great to clear guys out from on top of the base. You can bounce it at some pretty good angles and hit guys hiding behind walls and such.Quote:

They said they're retooling hte level system so people don't peak mid twenties anymore. That means 25's will be high 40's and people like me who are 20's will be late 30's early 40's.

The Autoupdate is a free, XBox Live-provided refinement of some of the game features.
They got a lot of nerve asking for money on additional maps. If this were PC we would have been talking about mods and custom made levels.
Anyways if they were smart, they'd fix the ability to headshot with other weapons, not to mention they'd fix the stick sensitivity (I'm using 10) and allow custom button configuration.
I just did the dumbest thing ever letting another guy from the other team get close to my warthog and mount my turrent gun while I was driving. Got so goofed up that I picked up another passenger and wound up with a killing spree on my own side! :P

This map is gonna rock so hard. It looks like there is landmines on this level. So no easy splatters going on there with all that open space. Also its cool to see some scorpion tanks online now.
