It does count, I guarantee it.
Also the stats do become available, it just takes a while and they show up as a dark gray on the game list because half the people or more dropped.
I yell at my team that I'll fucking KILL them if they drop, even if we're losing by a ton.
that said, I played really inconsistantly on the weekend with no real shining points that I can remember, and plenty of fucking horrible games where I stroked off or something (team snipers on burial grounds, I got 4 kills in the wholegame).

I entered random games of big team with Swat and Shoe and we won almost all of them gaining me a level. Infact, it seems like it's easier to win going in with random groups than it is going on with a full team; the top player of Big Team right now goes in with only two other guys. The reason? Random groups will always go up agianst other random groups, never a complete group of larger than 4. So if you go in with less than four people you basically end up in a game where the best killers win, since neither team has any pre excisting team work as a party of 8. Also, since the guys who are really amazing at Big Team (Overshield, xhalofreakx, Donk3y Man, Nova4 ) only play when they have full groups, you never go up against them; it's kind of like you're playing a completely different Big Team since you could be the same level but never ever face them. It's completely awesome, and to a large extent the only way I want to play it anymore.
In this game we beat a group composed of a 22, two 24s and a 28 in Assault. The score is 2-0.

I was playing Big Team Battle the other morning with an IRL friend of mine, and out of nowhere we went to the 're-connect' screen. Then, we came back and all around us were corpses, and we (the two of us) had scored a bomb on Assault (we were on defense) and won the game. Now normally I'd think this was just lag shit and it didn't mean anything, but when we got back to the party screen we'd both gained a level.
Anyone got any ideas as to what happened?
EDIT: I thought it a pretty well established fact that Steel Cougar sucks and is annoying. Time for Opaque to shrug off scrubs like that and play for fun rather than sport.

It's all dependant on how much you have gatted up the person before you hit them. It really is something you need to get a feel for really. Typically, if someones sheild is halfway down or more, they are dead after a melee attack. Also, a jumping melee attack to the head is normally an instant kill with the Battle Rifle. I personally love to abuse that when someone is on lower ground than I am. You just jump right at em, and while they are shooting you, you melee them before you land, and BAM, dead.Quote:
