It is a fact that Davis ruined the California economy by raising taxes to the point that business just picked up and left the state. It doesn't make a shit bit of difference who was in office before he fucked it up.Quote:

Dude, what the fuck? He got recalled in his 2nd term. Which means he had a full term in office.Quote:

Seriously, stop listening to whatever Punkvoter and Rock Against Bush says and pick up a newspaper once in a while.
Way to cover it up. ;)Quote:

A few points. First, I wasnt bitching about California not having money. I was pointing out that its ridiculous for California to be spending and borrowing so much when they have no money for basic services. Second of all, states are where the rubber meets the road. The Federal Government spends money on a lot more high-level things which affect us in a more abstract way, like defense or food regulation or the UN or whatever. State governments pay for schools, local roads, police, firefighters, etc., all stuff that affect us and we use every single day. So its a lot easier to see when the state has no money than when the feds do. So its not unreasonable for a person to be more concerned when their state runs up massive deficits. Third of all, the President doesnt "run" our economy any more than I do. Thats a simplistic, ignorant, and wrong way to look at things.
I keep forgetting that California was attacked, losing thousands of lives and hundreds of billions of dollars as a result. If you're going to be a fruit, at least stick with apples and apples.Quote:
