It affects me only in a negative way. I hope it dies so I can stop paying into it. I'll handle my own retirement planning, thank you very much.Quote:

Besides, we've known Social Security is doomed to failure for at least 20 years now. So, dude, youre wrong. Cut your losses and move on.
I voted.
Bush, Peter King, Your Momma.
I flipflopped and voted for Kerry (Republican everywhere else). I decided to trust that Kerry would run to the center after being elected, and thus was more likely to do the good things that he talked about doing (more special forces, hitting Iraq harder, etc) and less likely to do the bad stuff (protectionism, pulling troops out). I ignored the message electing Kerry would send to the world and my distaste for most of Kerry's supporters.
Despite agreeing with Bush's stated positions on almost every topic, the administration has fucked up too deeply and too often for me to support it.
God help us.
I voted!
He's not dumb. He couldn't possibly justify pulling our troops out prematurely any more than Bush could.Quote:

I was thinking though why do people stand on street corners holding these signs? Do they get paid or are politics majors required to do this or what? What a monumental waste of time........of course some of the chicks holding up " The Only Bush I Trust Is My Own" signs did look pretty hot ...
