Essentially he's guarentted the gay vote for Kerry by teaching the democratic party that you can get minority votes without delivering any real change to the system.
As for the defense of marriage acts, reminds of certain states calling out the national guard to stop those black kids from integrating. Its dramatic, alot of people support it but it'll end up an embarassing relic in 5-20 years.
I'm obviously too young to vote, but by GOD was I rallying people to go out and vote today. I wanted to know that I made SOME sort of stupid difference today. I told all of my "educational leaders" to get off their asses and vote, and told one of my teachers "If you're not going to vote, get off your fat ass and vote for me."
Though I did make that thread about my own state, I would much rather it be a state thing, and not a federal thing. At least this way a few states may be able to do the opposite and vote in something allowing it. Those states that allow it would at least be something in the right direction. That could help it get accepted later on.
If one more person asks me if I voted today, I will punch them in the throat.
I don't even know OR care which they they want people to vote.

I dont want everyone to vote though. I only want people who are informed and educated enough to make a good decision to vote, away from rhetoric. Thats why all this draft shit is bothering me, I have a feeling that a lot of people my age were going out and voting based on a bunch of extreme-left MoveOn-style propaganda that has no basis in reality.Quote:

Have you seen that commercial on MTV where that red necked white guy is talking about getting AIDS on his toilet seats from fags and not letting crippled people use his restauraunt? It then goes on to say "Yeah, this guy get's to vote. Luckily, so do you." I thought that was a pretty powerful commercial, and I think that even though funny people like that guy get to vote, it makes me excited to think they can run something THAT controversial to try and get people to vote. Obviously that guy was just an actor, but I think it said something.Quote:
