Great Halo joke on The Daily Show

I was watching the election day special of the Daily show, and they made a pretty damn funny Halo joke.

Jon starts talking about the state of the electoral votes and motions towards one of his co-hosts to look at the big screen for the electoral map. He catches him playing Halo.

"Yeah!! Yeah, take that! Ohh!! Where's your plasma rifle NOW, BITCH?!"

Jon stops him for a moment. "......Are you PLAYING HALO?"

".....NO....I was just exit polling some covenant!"

Good show. If I can find a video later I'll post it up.

A friend left me a message on AIM telling me about this. I gotta see this.

The segment he did after that was hilarious as well. Rob Corddry is one of the best new Daily Show guys, though I still miss Steve Carell.

The Tron joke was good too.

Steve Carell was on the show tonight. I think you are thinking of someone else.

He was? Damn, I didn't tune in till late in the show. I haven't seen him on there in a long time, I thought he'd just moved on to doing movies. He was in a quite few recently.

There's stephen colbert, and steven carell. Carell was Brick Hamilton in Anchorman. He's not on the Daily Show regularly anymore.

It was pretty good, but that voting booth segment was definitely not his best work.

The best bit was the exit polling.

The best joke was:

Jon: "We'll be sure to check back in with you later"

Stephen: "There's no point"

Are you kidding? I'd put up there with his Boston homecoming / DNC coverage.

It was no gay penguins though, that's still one of the Daily Show's best.

It wasn't that funny, but Jon Stewart was in it, so it's worth mentioning either way.

That was probably the least funny joke of the entire show, but it does prove that Halo 2 has permeated just about every media facet there is.
