Call me crazy, but I happen to find such characters to be interesting. Two of my favorite examples are B.Jenet and Rose. Anyone else have any thoughts? :p

I took a look at the wonderfully alliterated subject line and believed that this topic was going to be a tribute to the low amount of feminine video game protagonists..I guess I was wrong..
Breasts, boobs, boobies, tits, hooters, melons, bombs. We all like them no matter what we call them.
Going back to the original topic, there's no doubt that high heels are very sexy, but they're not practical for combat. That's why we don't see many heroines wearing them (unless you consider damsels-in-distress as heroines too). The villainess from Combatribes (Martha Splatterhead) wore high-heels too.
I've never heard the term bombs before...:)
Either, I heard it before or I've just made it up. Actually, my brother once made-up the term "twin bombs".Quote:

The term I'd never used that cracked me up is from the comic Poison Elves, which all of you should read. Loony character on a total tirade comes out with the term "enormous lung hammers".
Doesn't have to make sense to be funny as hell. :)
Oh, and I'm not too fond of heels. I'm much more interested in a woman who's smart enough not to wear them, those things are death to feet from what I hear.
James
Boobies are ok, i guess.
I like big butts and I cannot lie...
Do girls in combat boots count as high-heeled heroines?
Combat boots and high heels are two different things. Unless there is a such a thing as high-heeled combat boots.Quote:

Make it a point to give Guilty Gear X a try....you might like it...
:)
Oh, I'd love to play Guilty Gear X, 2D fighting games are probably my favorite type of game. I don't know how I could try it, outside of emulation, which I don't do because I don't know how, and I don't really want to since the games I buy are enough for me. However, if you would like to send me a copy of the game for me to try, then please do:)
That was interestingly confusing.
In any case, I'm pretty sure GGX hasn't been dumped (at least in any playable format), but it can probably be found fairly cheap for DC, and possibly for PS2 if you look around. I prefer the DC version myself because I prefer the DC's d-pad and I can hook up VGA for a damned pretty picture, but it's import-only for DC. Chances are, with GGXX getting closer and closer, GGX's price will only drop even futher.
Green...get in touch with me offline and I can get you a copy of either for super-cheap...
I can spread the love....:D
How could I have forgotten her in this thread.Quote:

Some of the girls from DOA (such as Lei Fang) wears high-heels too.
High heels are absolutely not sexy, and they have no place being on a female character that is going to be doing any amount of serious movement.
I'd love to see the video game community give more credit and respect to female characters. Stop having girls who are out trying to slay a dragon only a metal bikini, or requiring characters we are supposed to take seriously still show clevage or whatever else.
Sometimes a bit of T&A is fine. But when you have games where ALL of the females aer showing it off, and in very unpractical ways, it just gets insulting.
Shidoshi,
Looks like you'll be surrounded by a lot of "un-sexy" ladies...especially in Osaka!!:D
Exceptions to every rule, my dear friend, exceptions to every rule.Quote:

I bet there is....
Rules can change, though...
