Absolute truth. And the cutscene character models are terribly ugly. Some of the female marines in-game have all white glowing eyes, as well. Scary demonspawn marines I guess.

And I don't know where you've been, but I'm not a Halo fanboy at all. Multiplayer on Live is just beyond fantastic, though. You gotta give props where they're due.

In a nutshell, yes.

But all the other GTA games had the same graphical problems, didn't they? Or are there new problems that go above and beyond the old ones? I don't remember this texture pop-in shit happning in the original Halo, and I don't remember the cutscenes too well but the people could not have looked as bad as they do now.

Lesson: Don't make the models more sophisticated if the end result will be worse than what you had. It's mostly just the faces and animation. The other stuff is okay.

Who gives a shit? We get Half-Life 2 in five days.

It doesn't matter though, because the campaign is so frustratingly dull that you'll only want to play online multiplayer anyway.
