My right ear can't take anymore punishment from the official model. I'm really tempted to get it, but at $50? Meh. From the few sources that I've read all have said it is worth the money. Anyone have it?

I have it. I got it fairly cheap and it is not worth it. I fucking hate it. The sound is cheasy like you're listening to a phone call through a tin can.
The only thing I like about it is you can rest the back of your head on a chair without it fucking with the headset. Other than that, it's worthless.
people were talking about it in one of the many other halo 2 threads. i remember something like "its good....but not for the price"
Set the game to have voices come through your speakers, and then wear the official mic around your neck. I do this and it is awesome.Quote:

I have it, and I love it. Once I got the proper earbud, and figured out just how it is supposed to get on my head, it's been totally awesome. WAY better than the standard one. The sound quality is great, you can adjust the mic position, and I never have static problems.
Granted, I got mine for free, but if money is no object, I say buy it.
