Not to change the subject, but has anyone seen the footage for Puppy Times for the DS? It looks like the fruitiest... funniest game EVER. Seriously, I can't stop thinking about it. It looks like a whole lot of fun. Those digital dogs are too much!
I am totally stocked for this thing to come out on Sunday.
Did anyone notice Animal Crossing in this commerical? It looks less like a port and more like a full sequel now! Sweet!
Also, Does anyone know what that puzzle game at the end of the clip was? I've seen that at the end of a few DS-Trailers but have no clue as to what it is. Looks interesting, though.
You can find a cleaner videos on Nintendo's site...

OH MY GOD, MY EXPECTATION FOR THE DS JUST SHOT 1000% :eep:
god damn, i didnt expect it to be thise cool, the new ideas and games look so much fun, the touch screen thing will introduce new ideas to the gaming world! :D
oh, and is that puppy game comng out in the US? isn't it called "Nintendo Dogs"?
More of a nice long trailer, but better than the stupid "touch" commercial with the woman speaking about touching the two screens and no game footage. C'mon Reggie, that is NOT how you get people pumped for a unique new system. Leave the ads without in game footage to Square. Less than a week before launch too. The wild boys commercial however is hilarious and effective IMHO. I dunno why but something about Steve-o's expression and voice as he is trying to hold onto the DS as the lion attacks him just cracks me up. Best ad I have seen since the old Sega 90s ad days.
Oh yeah, and the Metroid Prime 2 ad with the woman walking down the alley absolutely stinks. The MP trailer with the suited actress fighting baddies in a tunnel was so much better and got you pumped for the epic scope of the game.
True, but the DS has already topped 2 million pre orders. That's a pretty impressive number, considering the GBA only had about 1.5 when it was first released.Quote:

Thanks. :D
haha Just a friendly smart aleck remark. ;) Seriously though, the PSP is really starting to grow on me. I just kinda wish MGS Acid wasn't a card strategy game. And all they need to do is put a new Gradius and I am sold. New Gradius and new Klonoa on that big widescreen would smoke. And here's hoping Sony isn't stingy and puts some good scratch coating on the screen. Now HOPEFULLY our EB here will get a DS kiosk soon. :( But they are supposed to get it today so i'm crossing my fingers I will have something to look forward to on my lunch break.Quote:

I am with you as long as its done by treasure. Playing without option positioning is like going back to Betamax after DVD.Quote:

Non videogame fan commercials suck. It reminds me of the PSX commercials back when.Quote:

I really hated the "enos lives" message or whatever that was during the old school PSX ads. What was that supposed to be? Some dumb "subliminal" code for 'Sony'?
As long as it is supervised by one or two members of the Jap Konami team I'm sure it would turn out fine. Look at Gradius Galaxies, done by european team Mobile 21 and turned out brilliantly (IMHO) with a little supervision. But I wouldn't know about option positioning (i hear raves) as I still don't have Gradius V let alone a PS2. :sweat:Quote:

Mobile 21 was a Tokyo based company formed as a partnership between Konami and Nintendo. They were dead by late 2002 iirc.Quote:

My interest just increased ten fold. If Nintendo put half that stuff in the American commercial there would be a lot more buyers at launch. While I think our commercial is good, it's only good if you know what the product is, I don't think everyone else will got off their couch in time to remember what they just watched.

Kind of like a Gran Turismo of puppy games... except without replacing their body parts with new cybernetic ones for better speed, strength, and handling... :sweat:Quote:

Enos Lives was awesome. If you were cool enough to read Next Generation around that time like I was, you would've seen tons of letters they printed postulating about what that means. Sony never explained what it meant, to the best of my knowledge. So stop being a wanksta and recognize.Quote:

From what I've read about it, you have three puppies and those three are shown in all the previews/video footage of the game. You can't choose what three puppies you have, as there ARE only three.Quote:
