Ridge Racer PSP is one hell of a nice looking game, but if what Kutaragi says is true about graphically intensive games lowering the PSP battery life down significantly I might begin to wonder if developers will buck the trend of going all-out visually on future titles.
I guess the Japanese launch of the PSP will be the real test of how functional of a handheld the PSP really is.
Japan makes for a good test market.
Every DS game launching is rushed. the only game coming out for the DS that feels complete is Mario 64.
Asphalt GT has way better graphics than RR on the DS so if your a graphics whore and you have a DS you should pick up that game.
Half of those PSP pics look like replays and cienamatics. I doubt those are in-game graphics.
If your going to compare graphics of systems compare the killer apps for the titles like MP:H and MGS:Acid. Not a third party racing game.
Since when did it turn mandatory to pick up RR on either handheld.

Yeah, this is the RR I wanted next on PS2. Fuckers. I don't want to buy a PSP, but... I want this. Badly.
I know it has an R4 track announced, but I'm curious to see how many old tracks the game has. If they include the Rave Racer tracks and a good number of R4 tracks along with plenty of new ones, with those graphics and gameplay in the vein of R4 or RRV, I'm sold.
Or it could be another R: Racing Evolution and no one will give a shit. But I'm hoping for the best, because RRDS looks like cat vomit.
Hero, it's either a port of it, or based on it, and given that I'm still enjoying my $5 copy of RR 64, I have no need to play RR DS, beyond maybe a rental to see how well the controls work.
