Vertigo (Meniere's disease)....does anyone get it?
Ive been getting Vertigo lately, it's making my life horrible. so far im on medication that makes the dizziness and throwing up go away, but my ear just wont stop ringging! it's been like that for the past 5 days and im going crazy. i just started this new job and cannot afford to fall sick in the office.
apparently there is no cure for Vertigo, im constatly on the look out for things that would reduce it's cases. as a matter of fact, i stoped drinking coffee and
changed my diet to a low sodium diet since i read it increases the chances of vertigo. Trust me when i say this, it's not easy to change a diet!!! :(
i just hope this god damn ringing would go away, soon enough im gonna start pulling my hair out!
first time i ever got virtigo was when i was living in the D.C around 5 years ago, i didnt know what it was or what made it happen but it was it extremely strong! my body started sweating, started hearing ringing noise in my ear that started getting louder and louder, my head felt very ligh to the point where i could not keep it straight, lost total balance and i could not walk straight and worst of all started to vomit for about two hours! the scarey part was that i was driving my car and stuck in traffic on a highway, i felt very helpless, the only thing i could do was get out of my car in the middle of trffic and vomit on the highway! :( i managed to get home after running a few red lights, stoping my car and vomiting constantly till i got home in one piece.
ofcourse, it took a good 24 hour for it to wear out, but the peak of it was around 3 hours.
the worst part is that it happened to me a few times, the second time i went to a doctor, and that's when i was told it's Vertigo(imbalance of fluids in the ear). it seemed to happen only once a year, but recently ive beengetting it, only it's not as strong, but bad enough to stay in bed for 24 hours :(
anyways, so i did alot of research on the internet about Virtigo, i came out with some usefull information, but everything seemed very broad, and worst of all, there is no permenant cure for vertigo.
now im just curiouse, does anyone here have vertigo or know anyone that has it? whats your experiences with it? what works for you and what doesnt?
im getting a blood test done on thursday to see if anything i might be eating is causing this, or atleast to find out if i have any blood pressurte problems that cause this. :(
