I know its spider-man, but aren't people who have been abused in the past, seem to recreate those act's. So shouldn't the child be afraid of man, in alone in his room, with such history?
Like you said, it's Spider-Man, so he's seen as a "safe" adult by the child (otherwise the child would already be screaming for help). As far as repeating the same behaviors, depends on if the adult has dealt with their past or not. Being moslested as a child does not guarantee that the child will grow up into a molestor or child abuser, or homosexual themselves (as many of you seem to be implying). It all depends on how the child deals with it. Some kids supress the memories and do wind up having some warped ideas about sex and sexual relations, others talk to adults and deal with the situation and go on to live normal lives.
