XP no OpenGL?
I updated to WinXP and now I can't even run Half-Life because it says that my driver dosen't support OpenGL (See: Bullshit). This is what I know about it-
WinXP install also installs a driver which makes this problem happen.
I tried updating the driver, but it said it wasn't compatable....I don't know whats up with that.
My driver is ATI Rage 128 VR
Has anyone else had this problem? I need help ;_;

Regus: That was a problem with one of the earlier versions of Half-Life. It kept trying to load a graphic file if you had a ATI file =X So thats the wrong thing :sweat:

ATI + Half-Life = JACK-FUCKING-SHIT...
... i had to run in software mode for the past 5 years while playing Half-Life... only now do i have a Geforce card that ACTUALLY WORKS WITH GAMES... (unlike the ATI card i had)
-
Older ATi cards have very spotty OpenGL support, but the Radeon is excellent.

I'm having the same problem with Jedi Knight 2 and my nvidia TNT card. Then again, TNT's are really old, but it used to run games fine until XP...now it says I don't have the proper OpenGL drivers.
-
hero have you gotten the latest drivers off of Nvidia's website
theyre really really fast and stable
-
I tried nvidia's disruptor xp deal. Says it'll work with TNT cards, but now I'm having even more problems than before. Maybe I installed it wrong?
-
hmmm who made your card was it made by nvidia or diamond or another company
