Eh, my favorite ebay auction would be a bucket of bolts (literally) selling for $200 or so. The plane flight is a nice twist though, it reminds me of the end of Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back.

I think it was posted here, but the "Ass-kicking" auction was most likely my favorite.

The high bidder would pay for transport and food for the auctioneer to come to your house and beat the shit out of you.

It was, and then it was put back because eBay said they made an error. It's going for 10,000 now or something, and they're monitoring the bids to see which ones are serious and not.

Not only that, it's spawned a bizarre merchandising run. Make a search for it, there are replicas and shirts and commemorative cards. It' insane.

I didn't know the virgin mary grilled cheese was a big deal, I saw it first on Primer Impacto (Spanish channel news show). That's... really expensive for some burned grilled cheese. Those crazy people and their Virgin Mary appearing everywhere.
