When was this?

I don't really remember ID rehashing any of their games. The only thing I can think of is Doom 2 ---> Final Doom was nothing but more levels, but all their other games were pretty different from each other.

I guess you stopped playing FPS games in 1996, then?

Because they moved beyond this in 1998, when the original Half-Life, Shogo: MAD, etc., came out.

I played the demo a long time ago, the giant robot sections were pretty cool for it's time, but I'm not sure how it would stand up if I tracked it down today.

Doom, Doom 2, Final Doom, Hexen (if anyone got anything out of thise, good for you, but not me), Quake, etc. When I say rehash, I mean little, if anything, was added to the gameplay. We're talking early to mid '90s here.

Anyway, you may not agree, but I loved Doom, thought Doom 2 was okay, played Hexen for one day and played Quake over a friend's house and never touched it again.

I like it when new people post and it's like you're seeing a relic from TNL 2001. You're a reminder of shittier times when we all played and liked crappy games from Bukkakeland just because everyone else didn't.
