Will you get chipped?

A little more than a month ago the FDA cleared the use of the verichip for medical applications.

At the age of 14 I was subjected to a movie titled "a Thief in the Night" during a bible study session.

I've always had an obsession with the unexplained, paranormal, millennial prophecy, blah blah cigarette smoking man. It goes without saying the FDA news creeps me out a bit.

Are we far from seeing our goverment impose some sort of forced homeland security measure? Are we far from seeing "chip-vans" pull up in front of our homes? Are we far from seeing biblical prophecy come true?

Sure you can but according to bible prophecy "the mark" would be needed for commerce and the like. I'm pretty sure Jews during the holocaust could've ripped off their star of David patches too.

Did a quick double-check before posting but it doesn't mean it's true- One of the original numerological meanings of 666 was that it stood for human thought. So... very... meaningful!

No, I think he means the one where he had to dump his own body into a vat of hot lava in order to save the future of humanity.

I call BS on that, it's really not any different then scanning items, just more advanced tech. I'm not exactly down with putting devices in my body that can be used for tracking and the such, I'm a supporter of the Patriot Act and whatnot but I think such things as these chips go too far.

I'm not going to get in a religious debate here because we've been over that far too many times with no real progress so I'll express my logical concerns with this technology.

Progression. I'm not too concerned about an instant oppressive totalitarian government because that's just not going to happen but I do think the US government is balancing on a very small line which could go bad to either the right or left.
