Sorry for all the official threads, but alot of people on here seem to be looking forward to these GBA games, but not knowing when they hit thanks to delays and what not.
Anyways, this is SNK's Metal Slug, for the GBA. Reviews have been average, I think Game Informer gave it a 7/10. So what's different, and what's the same?
Apparently, it no longer suffers from the slowdown and lack of speed that the previous E3 build did. It also introduces a life bar for your character: no longer will you get hit once and be killed. Also, IGN mentions the game is more of a leisurely shooter than the Metal Slug philosophy of "throw a bunch of shit at you all at once".
The animation is looking to be top notch, and there is supposedly 100 collectibles to find throughout the game. Apparently, these collectibles can be used to power up your character.
Information isn't exactly all over the place on the game, so I'm trying to compile it as best as I can. I might have missed something though, I'm not too sure. Overall, it seems like a Metal Slug game hand tailored for the GBA, while still keeping the charm of the older, good Metal Slugs.
I might throw some trade in's for it tommorrow, not entirely sure yet.
