Funky console mods

I was browsing the Digital Press boards and there's a thread about system mods. Some cool stuff has been done by these guys so I thought y'all might like to check it out.

SNES with a switch on the top is for 50/60Hz, it plays PAL+JAP+USA games, and he's added a blue led as well.

The black & white SNES 2 and Japan NES systems are boss.

The glow in the dark ones are pretty cool, but I really like the see-thru NES one.

The Ikaruga stick is sweet, even if it is a Pelican Universal stick.

The original fami design is so much better than the SNES design and I dug the colors too (multicolored buttons and the console grey).

First SuperFami is gorgeous, as is the see-through NES. And, I'd actually love to have an Xbox controller with glowing buttons.

I echo everyone's opinion here, the SNES/NES are awesome, esp the Super Famicom, it looks classy.

some of the xbox led mods are really easy (ive done some controller and system ones). take a gander around the xbox-scene forums and check for yourself.

I figure they couldn't be too hard, button lights and so forth. I might look into that when I have some time over winter break, if I get bored enough. However, the only mod I really want to do to the system itself would be installing a flat top on that sucker.

I've been very interested in this scene for a while, and I plan on making my Halo Edition Xbox look like the green one above, except with a custom logo on top. I also plan on lighting my controller too.

Awesome mods, the NES and N64 ones are my faves. The Ikaruga joystick pad rocks too.

Unfortunately with the NES leds, after a few years they start to blink and you have to open the case and blow on them to get 'em steady again. hehe :D *ducks and runs*

lol the only system mods I have ever done is put the stickers on my SNES pad that came with the old Nintendo Power issues. Anybody remember those? I still have the big moon sticker on one of mine haha

Shit, so do I. Same sticker. My sister put it on "her" controller and despite her losing interest in the SNES years and years ago, I never cared to remove it and clean the controller up. I do recall taking apart our original GB to remove sticker shit from the case entirely. That sucked.
