I want a new computer. I should try cranking options up to see how high I can go and still be able to play.
I've always sucked at this series though, Blizzard RTS are more my thing.

I HAVE TO PLAY THIS. Why the hell are they still making circular squares instead of circles? EVerything looks great and then you see this large circle with 4 sides and a winding sidewalk made of straight, clearly defined straights. Nitpicky.
Can we kill Indians in this game?
I played the first two levels, didn't finish the second though but it seems like a pretty good game.
for the person that couldnt get it to run, i found a solution for it, i had the same problem. it has to do with people running on widescreen moniters.
it at least worked for me.
go to my documents, my games, aoe 3, and go into the start up folder and make a file called user.cfg and put this in it.
xres=1024
it will make it start in that resolution.
if that dosent work, heres somthing else somone tried.
Go to the main AOE3 folder, open the folder "users," open the file titled "New profile" in a text document, press ctrl+f and enter "Window" into the search window. It should highlight the line you need to change. Where it says "false" type in "true."
i hate strategy games but this sure is pretty. does it use physics in the gameplay? i know one upcoming strategy game does for sure.
I don't think so, but seeing an infantry man get hit by a cannonball is fucking hysterical.Quote:
