So is there any idea about when it's going to be released? A year, what?
I reckon they will mess it up though, and make it too much like C&C generals, which I think the graphics and looks of it ruined the gameplay; they tried to make it too advanced. RA2 was great, I'd just like to see another version of that; better graphics, a few new units and a new story.
i wish they would stick to 2D, like they did with the RA series.....i can dream can't i? :(
RA3 needs to have that sci-fi/comedy feel to it.
no idea on the release date, i want them to take thier time and give us a decent product atleast.
Awesome. I was hoping for at least another add-on for Generals, but this works even better.
RA2 was fantastic.
Yuri's Revenge was shit.

They completely ruined the soviets, didn't change the allies, and then created the yuris who were superior in almost every aspect.
It was boring; if you played as yuri, you would always win, no matter what; the different forces were completely unbalanced.
And the storyline sucked too.
I agree with MVS, if RA3 is like RA2, just with a few new features, I will get it.

Okay, I see the need to give the Soviets an Airbased Anti Land unit, but that Helicopter/Arty was just too overpowerd and made it easier to rape. At least in RA2, you had a solid chance to defeat any Rhino Rush, with Sandbagged Infantry, and given the Allies a Sandbadged Patriot guy was just too much. One was a bad solution to a limited problem, and the other was a solution to no problem.
The single player was weak was well. I played through RA2 about 5 times on toughest setting, but I did one and out for Yuri's Revenge. Just wasn't fun.
The Allied Robot Tanks, which I assume were to counter Yuri Take Over Attack, was weak as well. If you want to give both Allied and Soviet an Anti-Yuri Unit, fine, but making it so that you have to susatain constant power or the control center is just stupid.
Balance went from 60-40 in favor of Soviet in under 10 min games, and 60-40 in favor of Allies in over 10 min games to Yuri 50, US 25 and Soviet 25.
All the changes in YR threw off the tactics far too much to be fun, and while I'm all about a new experience, it has to be a new better experience and not lame.
in terms of difficulty, i agree that Yuri was too powerfull throwing the whole balance difficulty.
anyways, let's move on, back to RA3 :)
Actually, before we move on, any word on a demo for this teams latest game, Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle Earth?
Generals would be the finest game in the series if it wasnt for the fact that its got nothing to do with the series itself :lol: all the fans got pissed at it.
if they keep the Generals gameplay, graphics, balanced sides, and building system (thats right I HATE CONSTRUCTION YARDS) and make a decent storyline with fun movies like RA2, this is gona be the game to buy.
Take as long as they need to make it, it has to be something worth our money. But if they fall back to construction yards... well, then I'd MUCH rather buy whatever game Blizzard may release than the next Red Alert.
