I sure hope this wasnt Capcoms big news for the day. Maybe they'll actually update the game instead of doing a straight port. Please please please make the fighters all high res!

A little late for a port...Ah well. I guess people can look foward to paying $50 for some new cover art.
Well, I'm kinda happy with my DC version, to really care :)
How about MVC3 Capcom?
Well that's... pointless.
That's what I'm saying !!Quote:

Should be interesting to see how the two consoles handle all the sprite action, if nothing else....
They'll handle the sprites with no problems at all.
XBox should handle it just fine... but the question of whether the PS2 can handle it had been raised many times... i, for one, think it should be fine as well...
Well PS2 does have the ram to do so this time around. Now everyone is feeling fine.Quote:

And there goes another DC exclusive.... *-neo
SUPER-lame.
What's up with Capcom anyway, don't they have any psuedo-sequels to any of the fighting games coming to the arcades anytime soon? I can't remember ever wating this long between Capcom arcade fighters. Didn't CVS2 come out like, in July?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
By this point, does anyone actually give a flying f***? I mean, this is almost as pointless as porting CvS or the rest of the Crossover series to the PS... Um, I guess the fact that one could probably find a DC and MvC2 for cheaper then a copy of MvC2 for XB or PS2 (kinda like Skies of Arcadia) will go right over most gamers heards. I can officially say "Whoop-de-f***in'-doo!" in regards to this crap-ass announcement.
I'm with you on this one, MechDeus. Hell, my more-than-competent DC rev just sits there and gathers dust. For that matter, the same could be said of my PS2 as of late...

This is lookin like gold right about now...
Could someone please post a link or something so I can confirm it. Not that I don't believe you or anything just wanted to see the article for myself.
that was MMcafe's april-fools-joke... it aint real... (but it was job well done as far as april fools jokes go)
I dunno about everyone else, but I played this game to death a year and a half ago and I have no intention of paying $50 just so I can play it on Xbox, PS2, or whatever.......lame
Surely its about time for some sort of MvsC3 announcement??

I'll play devil's advocate here and say that Capcom probably wants MvC2 to see more homes before announcing/releasing it's sequel. MvC2 only came out on DC which sadly wasn't enough to get full recognition for it's impending sequel. We may not like it but from a business stand point, it makes sense. Unfortunately, us DC and MvC2 owners are the minority (a severe minority).Quote:

Oh yeah thanks for the link. Well not surprising cappy are cashing in on the masses, (especially when you consider they bothered to make CVS1 on ps) who wouln't?
Now where is mvc3 for cube? hehe. That fighting controller thing has to be used for something. (the way I think it should work is this: MVC got a game, then Cap vs SNK got a game, then MVC got a sequel, followed by CVS getting it's sequel. Now going by that order it's MVC's turn to get its third game.)
Edit: Oh yeah I forgot all about CVS2 EO on cube (what the controller is for - more cashing in). Still hope for mvc3 though.
Yeah, I guess they think a bunch of kids will see Spiderman (I guarantee he's on the cover) and "have to have it".
I would rather pay for a MvC3 title screen than a port of 2.
i would be excited about this is MvC2 was an import only game like CvS2 was for awhile
yeah i have the DC rev of CvS2 but i hate importing and ill buy the game when it hits the US GC (was thinking about buying the PS2 rev till i heard about the GC port)
so it would have been the same thing is this game had never hit US shores i would be excited about it but the DC rev seems great to me allthough i do hate the DC pad but it actually works ok for this game
All right...
I always wanted another shooter for the PS2!!!
Make Bulleta and the rest of the Darkstalkers characters play like they should instead of messing them up the way the DC version did, update Morrigan's ancient sprites, and do something about the wonky character balance and maybe I'll buy this again, but I know it's too much to hope for.
i'd like to see what added crap they decide to throw in before i make a decision on whether or not i would buy it for the ps2. controller wise i probably would, but i can do just fine with a dc controller so it'd depend on the added goods.
