PSP Success and Battery Life Questioned Again

I've made 2 posts in the last who knows how freaking long about a bad sony product


what it has to do with the PSP is convience, the reason I use my cell phone as often as I do is because I don't have to charge it so often and that is convient, when the PSP offers me that same level of convience, which one day it will because they keep hinting at release a PSP with a longer lasting battery down the road, then I will pick one up

Okay, I'll amed it 90% of your posts in any thread regarding the hint of talk about Sony Hardware fall under: I worked in retail. I've seen how bad they are. You don't know.

As for this comparison between the PSP and a Cell phone, that's just silly. Why not compare a car to a bicycle instead? What is next? You compare the DS to an Electric Razor?

well some phones(like yours) don't drain battery as much. I have a sony ericsson S700 that sports a huge screen, 262k colors bluetooth, infra red, memory stick duo, 1.3 mega pizel camera, a 3D game engine....and so on, i have to charge it ever 2 days on on medium usage, and every day on high usage, i usall charge at night when go to bed.


anyways, the point is, the PSP has a huge widesceen, WiFi and a DVD drive(moving parts) so it's understandable that it would use up batteries quiet a bit.

and you know your missing the point, my point was when the PSP reaches the same level of convience which sony has hinted at it will one day, then I'll buy one it's a nice looking machine like i said in the official thread, just needs to get some games I want and a better battery life and I'll buy one

and if you want to compare a DS to an electric razor your more than welcome too, though I cant chime in on that conversation as I don't own either one

that's awesome and in time theyll have a version with all that plus a better battery, and I will buy that version

it was on one of the interviews with the guy in charge of the PSP, dropped hints of an eventual PSP with 14 hours of battery life and thats really good so I look forward to that version

Actually, Sony never mentioned an updated PSP within range of 14 hours of battery life, they just stipulated that one day they would like to have a PSP running from Paris to Tokyo or something like that, meaning that they will try and update their firmware to acheive a better battery life. There has been no talk of updating the PSP physically to better meet the demand of the consumers, only software wise.

This was not 100% directed at you. Your post was simply one of many posts on here and other places that goes along the way of thought that you don't need more battery life because you don't need to play your PSP/whatever for that long.
