Rare games are already in R&D for DS most likely. I doubt we'll see any other Microsoft properties on it though, and really anything but Halo wouldn't be a big deal.

It could just be the announcement of the network in March (with some speciifc game announcements like Animal Crossing, Mario Kart & FFCC), with it going into place next fall.

I actually wouldn't be shocked if Microsoft did a Halo game for DS. Think about it, Sony and Microsoft are almost operating in a completely different market than Nintendo. They both want to take over the entire entertainment industry, wheras Nintendo just wants to make videogames and money. Nintendo is no threat to Microsoft, Sony is. If the PSP flops then that really hurts the Playstation brand name to the dumb gamestop masses as this untouchable mythic monicker.

Also, Microsoft likes to make money. They aren't putting out their own portable and they know Nintendo portables are successful, why not make some money off DS and spread awareness of their brand name games to a wider audience?

Another big announcement I could see is a 3D Grand Theft Auto game for DS with some really interesting uses of the touch pad

Who cares? Nintendo needs to stop announcing their announcements ahead of time. Other companies for that matter, too. I forgot all about Sega's "big E3 announcement" until now. But I also was foolish to think Sega would announce anything interesting ever again.

Everything everyone speculates about this is probably better than the real thing. I don't see the point.

It will be a Pokemon game or something like that.

I think it's too much of a given that a Nintendo portable will get a Pokemon game, that's not really a noteworthy announcement

Pokemon Diamond/Pearl was already announced for DS, but it could be the public unveiling. A Microsoft employee at GAF (element) mentioned he'd heard through friends that Nintendo & AOL were working on some sort of Pokemon game deal... maybe it's involved somehow?
