A One Piece game will be coming out on it.
My guess is Halo for the DS. Microsoft and Nintendo could very easily have a "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" strategy here. MS doesn't want to see Sony succeed in the portable market, because any connectivity may increase PS3 sales over their next gen console's.
I think a network for Animal Crossing, Mario Kart, and Advance Wars is a given. It's the only possible explanation for them all getting pushed back so far. I just don't think this will be that announcement.Quote:

If the PSP flops then that really hurts the Playstation brand name to the dumb gamestop masses as this untouchable mythic monicker.
Also, Microsoft likes to make money. They aren't putting out their own portable and they know Nintendo portables are successful, why not make some money off DS and spread awareness of their brand name games to a wider audience?
Another big announcement I could see is a 3D Grand Theft Auto game for DS with some really interesting uses of the touch pad
Who cares? Nintendo needs to stop announcing their announcements ahead of time. Other companies for that matter, too. I forgot all about Sega's "big E3 announcement" until now. But I also was foolish to think Sega would announce anything interesting ever again.
Everything everyone speculates about this is probably better than the real thing. I don't see the point.
It will be a Pokemon game or something like that.
I think it's too much of a given that a Nintendo portable will get a Pokemon game, that's not really a noteworthy announcement
Pokemon Diamond/Pearl was already announced for DS, but it could be the public unveiling. A Microsoft employee at GAF (element) mentioned he'd heard through friends that Nintendo & AOL were working on some sort of Pokemon game deal... maybe it's involved somehow?
Boonga Boonga DS.
I'd buy it.Quote:

Well if they had a miracle they could announce they Square is gonna do all the FF7 things on the DS instead. But realisticly, probally some lame connectivity thing like pokemon over the internet.
Yeah, I really doubt that will be happening. :-PQuote:

Oh what the hell, I'll say Online Pokemon as well.
I can peg this one.
Nintendo will announce what Nintendo DS truly stands for, which is
"Nintendo Does Suck". Sony will come back with a megaton of their own,
revealing PSP actually stands for "Poop Shit Poop".
2 Words.
Count. Chocula.
what the hell is count chocula?
The cereal that's part of a normal healthy diet.

I'll eat my hat if its Halo. You're all streching too much. It's not going to be a big deal whatever it is.
And I would really like to see a GBA Halo ala Metal Slug. That would be cool.
Heres what it will be.
NOW GET THE DS in 5 different colors!! WOOT!
We all know Nintendo cant settle on just one color and realizes more color variety in hardware means more sales.
And if it is some sort of multiplayer/internet connectivity....well WHO GIVES A FUCK! Its a handheld!
The DS will have connectivity games with the Revolution. The Revolution will be online and DS players can play connectivity games on thier Revolution, with other players around the globe.
Holy shit, that would be awesome if the "Revolution" would function as a Nintendo "Joy Spot" (GBA/DS wifi hotspot) and be fully online capable.Quote:

Yeah that was a skillful troll attempt there. What do you take me for? Some rabid fanboi? Anyhow nintendo could take this round in ye old portable wars if they pull off some nice cartless multiplayer support in a majority of games. Hotspots for DS play would just be sweetness on top of victory. Assuming they don't drop the ball with the usual nintendo + 3rd party goodness.
PSP could do the same, except the cartless part, but then again neither sony nor nintendo have ever been earily adopters of this whole "online" thing.
