While you can wrap it into a more proprietary container (ASF, MOV, etc.), why would they want to here? Unless I'm seriously mistaken, ASF is Microsoft... why is Nintendo using an MS container when they don't need to? As well, from what I know, this will make it harder for just anybody to encode their own content into MPEG4 video that would work with this thing.
