Apparently these will go on sale next year for $50,000 a pop. Jealous children accross the world will subsequently smash their robo-sapiens.

I think I've figured out the hook that's going to make this thing the product to have: Downloadable personalities. Right now the thing is programmed to act like a cut curious child-like thing. But if I could make it act like a jive talking street hustler, or a meglomaniacal genius bent on global domination, or 19th century gold-rush prospector, I would NEVER get sick of this.

At first I thought "Hmmm, kinda typical choppy sears catalog robot motion" then they just got more and more natural and fluid with the moves, quite impressive. I really like the fact that Japan is as obsessed with robots in real life as they are in anime. Will be interesting to see what happens in a decade or two from now. Maybe even scary.
