I was just in a car accident :(

Man, that so scary :( The car (parent was driving) got totalled, if we would've got hit a few feat earlier we both would've died, luckily we're both ok though, aside from shock. I'm still trembeling, hopefully this won't cost us any money (it's a really disputable accident, the damage makes it look like we were wrong a lot more than we were though, because we got pinned in by a car turning in that ran away). We have car insurance though. I'm just freaked out right now and wanted to tell somebody :(

damn andy, i'm sorry to hear that. i'm glad you and your mom/dad is ok. i've never been in a big accident before, but i can imagine what it's like. hope everything turns out ok, and that the whole experience won't keep you shaken too long.

Damn, man. At least you and your parents are ok. Accidents suck. I had one 2 years ago, that kinda totalled my car, and it was my fault too, at least they decided it was. I did hit my chest on stearing wheel, and it did frikin hurt. I also was in big accident with my mom, like 6 years ago, when we were hit really hard by another car, my mom was ok, but I did hit my legs hard, bruised them and could barely walk for next few days.

Plus my mom and dad just had another accident last fall, and she totalled her car also. But they were ok, and its good. Now waiting for insurance money.

I've been in this position before, only I was the one in the driver's seat. Don't worry man, those awful feelings you are experiencing fade away after a few days, but come back full force once that first letter from the insurance company arrives.

Edit: Just occured to me what a miserable comfort post that was.

I feel your pain. Years ago, I was in an accident in a friend's car; he was driving and someone decided to run a stop sign, causing us to crash into them. My friend Jow was in the back and managed to duck behind the driver seat, but I wasn't lucky. My head it the windshield, and it hurt like there was no tomorrow. Its probably one of the main reasons I never got around to getting my license.

It's a really scary thing. I was in a minor accident one time, when some stupid girl hit me. We were both going really slow and the damage was not to bad but it freaked me out anyway, simply because the girl was so freakin' stupid. She decided that she didn't want to stay at her stop sign anymore and just drove into traffic (and into me).

I totally think cars suck though. I hate them. I'd much rather take mass transit whenever possible. I am just moving to a big city right now (MTL) and I really really want to sell my car, but I love it and I am kinda attached to it so I have not decided yet. :\

Anyway, I am glad to hear that you're alright.
