Why would it be stupid? Whatever console they pick wins in America, so really they would just be making easy for them only having to work with one console.

then theyd have to spend the money developing and producing a system and take the hit on every one sold. this way SONY takes the money hit and they dont.

No thats what I'm saying. EA will never make a console because they don't want to do the dirty work. Instead they will pick a console to be exclusive to and reap all the benefits while doing none of the work.

More like reap all the benefits and take little to none of the risk.
