Oh, THAT...I heard about it. Yeah, words went back and forth, and it actually lead to a real-life altercation at an E3 (I forget which year). A few punches were thrown, Halverson took a nasty spill and as a result, sustained a serious groin injury which actually required the removal of one of his testicles. The reduction of testosterone production that resulted caused Dave to begin to develop a condition called Gynecomastia, which is the development of breast tissue in men. Dave attempted to hide his condition from his fellow Gamefan staffers but once his breasts swelled in size beyond a b-cup he couldn't hide it anymore. Word got out, Victoria's Secret catalogs were left on his desk in jest, and Dave left the mag out of shame. Fucked up, huh?

I can verify this.

Dolemite: I know that didn't happen (although some parts sound more believable than others, but they're not true, I'm sure) ... C'mon, can anyone step up with a bona fide account of what exactly happened between Halverson and Semrad ... ?

Shidoshi, if you ever happen across this...Dave hasn't changed. At all. In fact, he's worse. Then again, I don't know the whole story of GF, but Dave's spiral into complete possession by the Devil is nearly complete.

DETAILS. I read his rant about characters not standing correctly on slanted surfaces in the current issue and I laughed. I do like PLay, but reading a lot of Halverson's comments evokes that reaction out of me.

Well, I laugh at Dave a lot.

And yeah, this is Veela, formerly of Play. :) Dave fired me last month...and it's really weird, my story STRANGELY parallels Shidoshi's. Like, Twilight Zone style.
