People do what they can, but you cant save everyone and you sure as hell cant sincerely "care" about a bunch of people you have never seen and would not know if you fell over them. I can care in a general sense but honestly, to sincerely say that each and every death caused in every disaster is going to be a deep and personal tragedy, that not a sincere statement, anymore than i expect a masai tibesman to feel a deep and crippling loss about 9/11. Its fucked up that we let self righteous political nonsense into this thread, it was a major tragedy, and hopefully people will do what they can, but no money will bring them back, nor will it undo a cent of the damage, people will have to rebuild and hopefully our donations will help, but realistically, im not a carpainter, not adoctor, and not a civil engineer, ill give money, pray for them, but beyond that, reality is a sad herd thing.
