I didn't give shit to CvC, but I give to the Red Cross; it helps my middle class guilt, so STFU.Quote:

Not giving a shit about hundreds of thousands of humans dying? That's SO hard, I'm impressed.Quote:

Hell, it hasn't caused us any problems fighting wars and such. So please stop being so naive as to believe loss of human life instantly justifies sympathy, maybe in Europeon countries, but not in this one.
I guess no American would really give a shit unless the waves were sweeping their family members or computers downstream.
It's a natural disaster. People shouldn't build cities in earthquake zones, on active volcanoes, etc. and not expect them to be destroyed eventually. "It's unfortunate" is the best I can muster.Quote:

I agree; everybody should leave Tokyo and Los Angeles right now. That's a seriously retarded thing to say, it's like saying people shouldn't be poor and expect a good life, it's true, but it doesn't make it any less tragic. You don't decide where you are born and how much money your parents have.Quote:

Like this lovely place. Who would choose to live here?
It wasnt so much because of the earthquake, it was because of the tsunami that formed after the earthquake. Its a freak occurrence, theres not a whole lot that anyone can do about it, it probably could happen in Los Angeles. But if it did, and I got swept away, I wouldnt expect some dumb asswipe in Sri Lanka to go on a message board and fake-fake some sympathy. Because that shit aint gonna save anybody's life.
Thats good. I dont. But I do do other stuff. Which leads me to...Quote:
