Rotten Tomatoes and M-DMD.Com report that Tony Jaa ("Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior") will star as Jackie Chan's student.
Excellent news, this could very well be a kick ass film. I have yet to see Ong-Bak (Im going to cave in soon and say to hell with the no English subtitles) but everyone has raved about Tony Jaa.
It's going to be hard to surpass the second one. I have no idea who this Tony Jaa is and I pretty much doubt he can bring any Jackie Chan-like performances to the table.

Well color me fucked. The trailers are doing a pretty good job of tempting me. I really can't forge a real opinion on the guy yet. I've gotta tell my friend to find this movie quick. That knee drop thing is fucking insane!
If a man can slide under a car, jump through barbwire hoops and run on top of people's heads, I'd have to say Jackie Chan is going to be out of a job soon.

Jackie Chan's movies are heavily influenced by physical comedy and I will always love them for that.

I thought that there already was a "Drunken Master 3". It had nothing to do with Jaky Chan, but Gordon Liu was in it (not the star). If I recall, it's US title was "Drunken Master Killer", to try and capitalize on Gordon Liu's presence. The movie was okay, but not nearly as good as Chan's.
Also, has anyone here ever seen "Dance of the Drunken Mantis"? It is the official sequel to the original Drunken Master, and tells the story of Sohei (the old man) after he leaves Wong Fei Hung at the end of the original film. Excellent flick, but hard to find...
