Awesome. This is the only MegaMan series that I still get a great deal of fun out of. Hope the rest of you are glad to hear this news as well.Quote:

Wow, ANOTHER one, and I've still got to get 1 and 3.
It's still nice to see that they're still planning some.Quote:

It's been a really long time since Legends 2. I guess you could count Tron Bonne as part 3 but that was a whole console generation ago.Quote:

And I'm glad to see the series continues to live on in it's 2D glory. Capcom's already ruined the X series with 7 and 8, ugh...
there just isn't enough Megaman games!
remind me when they make a Megaman game where megaman actually ducks!
Actually, Zero 2 was on sale at Target every now and then for at least 4 months after its release. It seemed like it was in every other weekly ad they put out.Quote:

No, but if it's anything like 7, I'm sure it's pretty bad. Capcom would have had to overhaul 7's engine considerably to make the game enjoyable.Quote:

We were recently talking about this in the X8 thread..I hope this series doesn't go south.
I always wanted a game where you played as Vile (that sweet Boba Fett-looking guy) from Megaman X3.
A 2D Megaman 9 wouldn't hurt, either, but unless it's on a handheld, it'll never happen. :(

You forgot 5 and 6. Ducking? Real humanoid-robot-men don't duck.Quote:

 Vile was awesome. I forgot all about him until you mentioned it. but I agree that he needs to make a comeback. Whether in his own game or just in the X series. I'd rather see him take the forefront as head X villian over 'baldy'. But seeing as we only have one X game left to go in the series, seems like Capcom wasted that potential. What was the last game he was in X2 or X3?Quote:

About the whole 2D -> handheld thing
The jig's up. With the DS and PSP, we will never see 2D as a prominent graphics setup in games. Just so you know.
Nah, When the Advance part Deux comes out I'm thinking its not going to abandon the 2-D front. This DS thing, I just consider to be like Virtual Boy was - a big headache inducing experiment that wont last for more than a year, if that. I honestly havent seen this thing running but, just from looking at static pictures of all of the current games on it or those soon to be released - I'm far from being impressed - but that talks for another thread.Quote:

Then again, maybe Nintendo is dumb enough to do a 2D based GBA2. Hell, they may even use cartridges again...
Anyway, another talk, like you said.
He's apparently in X8 as well.Quote:

Who said there was only one game left in the series? I feel like one day I'll be buying my Grandson Megaman X193843743 for his 15th birthday.Quote:

Seriously, who wouldn't think this loveable little guy is cool?
This makes me want to play the game. I thought Vile was badass in X and I forgot about him too, like Fighter, before it was mentionned. I'm playing X7 now, and hating it, and I thought I'd still give X8 a chance. Though the boxart fools you to think that they went back to 2D. :(Quote:

definately a flash back scene in the intro to x5. check out zero. he doesn't even have his shoulder pads or blade in the picture.
Nice pic, though, Jetman.
DS actually has more 2D games announced than 3D.Quote:

lol. *Everybody* hates X7. I picked it up for $5 at the CC sale. One day I will play it. And I'm determined to be the one person who likes it (in addition to PLAY--I'm sure they gave it a good review :D ).Quote:

I gave up on this series when I couldn't find MMZ2 in stores.
You saved your GBA some squeezing pain. That game was hard -- trying to get A ranks all the time to receive all the powers. Probably hard even if you're just trying to get through it. This reminds me I still need to track down MMZ3. I do enjoy gaming punishment sometimes...Quote:

That's why I wanted to play it, though. After I got the hang of it, the first one was pretty easy, at times. I want more challenge!Quote:

MMZ3 must have been pathetically easier because I went through it in a weekend. Great, great game. I feel pretty lame because I just found a copy of Zero 1, yet finished three, which spoils a lot.Quote:

Does anyone know if there's any reason to try to maintain an A Rank outside of acquiring the EX Skills in Zero 3? Basically, I have an A Rank right now with four more skills to earn. I can get these by using elves to artificially raise my rank if it dips to B, but I'm wondering if there's any disadvantage to doing this (outside of wounding my pride a little).
[Edit]: I know this is the Zero 4 thread, but there isn't one for Zero 3, and the GameFAQs board is dead.
I'll answer this question two years and one month from now.
So where's my answer.
HOLY SHIT
So Compass must have set a reminder up on his calendar.
And I think that's pretty sad.
I think it's the greatest thing ever.
John and I did Zero 1 and 2 but stopped shortly after starting 3 =[
Compass, your answer is wherever you came from. Go back.
how rude
Don't listen to Chox, Compass, he's being a rude owl. The answer is here, Compass, it was always here and it will always be here.
The answer in this case is, no, not really. It changes your codename or something, but otherwise it's just for EX skills and biscuits.
Go play your game and watch.
): I need LR-43 batteries.
