Something that interests me? Besides, when would a journalist need to go in depth about such a subject? the only time you see anyone write about that stuff would be in scholarly journals, and those are written by scientists, not journalists.

chem 1, physical science, and bio 1 are really basic sciences that have a lot do with all sorts of things in life. As an adult it is good for you to have some vague idea of how the things around you work. It is good for you to know the physics behind how people die in car wrecks, the chemicals that make up the cleaners and substances you use everyday, and names of the organs in your body.

Honestly man, I'm sorry if you don't dig taking classes on these subjects, but you are coming off as someone that is very immature.


But anyway, could we get this thread back on topic? This argument isn’t helping anyone.

Does anyone know any good places to buy text books online cheap?

My advice for college students?

1. Don't mix Bourbon, Tequila, Rum, Beer and a Whata-buger, then later take a bath thinking you won't passout, only to wake up in a floating pool of French Fries...

2. When someone says, "Co'mon, it only seems weird the first time."
They're lying, It seems weird every time you think back on it...

Nice to know because I'm in Languages and was possibly thinking of getting a Batchelors.

There's no real advice you can give to students but the basics.

1. Don't procrastinate. If work is due in a month, don't rush to finish it but try starting early. It eases your workload towards the final part of the session.

2. Respect the teachers and give in clean work. I was in a Sociology course this semester as an option and the teacher would always ask us to hand things in double spaced and typed. I took the class with 2 other friends and we all had the same grade or so. The teacher was less lenient towards the guy that handed things late and sloppy than me and the other guy.

3. You want to get out of there, and fast. College is fun, but it's still best to try and run out as soon as possible. I took 4 classes last semester and 8 in the previous one to try and catch up to my lazyness in early 2004. Get out.

Don't take any classes before 11, then you can do your homework, go out at night and still get a good nights sleep and have all your work done.

You often don't have a choice.

Yeah. I tend to take all my classes between 9-12 noon. Leaves my afternoons open for work and Tuesdays and Fridays are easy shits.
