Yeah, there was a live action show. It was surprisingly good, with some weird ass mystical plotlines here and there.

So is Man-Thing an utter and terrible rip-off of the Swamp Thing (once thought to be the late botanist Alec Holland, until Alan Moore's fantastic run on the comic), or is it the other way around?

Either way, Swamp Thing is better.

I was in Blockbuster, and I saw this DVD. The cover looks very similar to the poster in the first post of this thread.

They redesigned Blade in the comics to be a badass long before the movie came out though. He was part of a group vaguely connected with Ghost Rider. I have the comic someplace. I think the movie just pushed that further and got a good actor to play him.

Man-thing... there just isn't anything good you can do with that.

Ha,..... forgot about this - didnt catch the premiere on Sci-Fi channel. Did it ever come on?I may have to give this a rent at Blockbuster if they are brave enough to carry this in store. I wonder what was wrong with the other poster they had for this?I guess Man-Thing will be fighting zombies or something based off that cover. Zombies = sales these days I suppose.

I think the SciFi Channel world premiere is set for April 30th.

Knowing my friends, we'll probably make an event out of it.
