U can get a ranking?
If that was the case in BF'42, i would have been a Sultan long ago.

I said "many say that our graphics already exceed Battlefield 2 in many areas." and I was not lying. I could give you quotes from BF2 developers who say they wish they had some of our modellers / skinners.
I also said "the graphics level and gameplay balance far exceed anything that was done on the Battlefield 1942 engine" and the truth of this statement has also been completely ignored.
Also can you tell me how I was spamming? I was answering a thread with my honest professional opinion not spam advertising.
The ranking system in Battlefield 2 allows you to gain abilities and special items much like in Call of Duty. However there is a large possibility that you will be ranked over a large period of time rather then over individual matches. It will be like unlocking parts of the game after you have spent more time playing it. This is possibly a guise to allow them to add the extra weapons and vehicles in later patches when people have actually achieved the needed ranks.
Also heat seekers are nothing new in the Battlefield engine. DC extended coded them for Battlefield 1942 and they were used a bit in vanilla Battlefield Vietnam. Point of Existence and Eve of Destruction also use them but in many different roles. Both early engines had Player Guided Munitions.
Battlefield 2 will have radar & IRST guided missiles (meaning you need a lock before you fire). It will also have laser guided bombs that you will be able to guide to a tank nearby using a little teamwork with a nearby fighter. It may also have player guided munitions but this isn't confirmed.
It's not overt spamming, but it comes pretty close.Quote:

That's just the way it works around here, pilgrim.
Those guys weren't calling me on spamming. They were attacking the joint project I've been working on for a year without real discussion. In essence they were flaming me because it made them feel big.
