Sure it does. It has Gamefan's.

Latter-Day (ECM-era) Gamefan had more personality than any mag today. It was an insane personality, but it was interesting. Hardcore Gamer has NONE of that. I have stated this before and I see NO improvement. I'll keep downloading the mag, in hopes of it getting better but I can't see supporting a magazine that seems like such a throw-away.

this is true. the first two or three years were pretty blah. but i gues in this instance HGM has a template they're already supposedly following where GF came up with it on their own. shouldn't be too hard to do.

i'm still of the opinion that either the layout or the choice in paper is crap. the pdf looks fine to me but the printed mag reeks of dullness visually. it just seems so muted.

The publication isn't even a year old yet, so I'm not gonna bother passing judgement at this time. I'm still waiting to see if they'll ever update to a better layout design cause I always thought it was currently "bleh" the way they're doing things. Maybe a little background art would help a little...

just because i'm the only one that's commented on it doesn't mean i'm the only one that thinks it's ass. you can honestly put it next to Play....or even EGM and say the color looks the same? if so you're fucking nuts.

That's a negative. I still read my gamefan's to this day. I barely glance at HG. I look at a game like Shadow of the Collosus - GameFan would have been all over that game. Coverage and praise out the wazoo. Gamefan would have told you that if you didnt buy it, your gaming licenese should be revoked or some other insane crap. Like it or not that stuff was damn funny and damn entertaining. What does HG do? A 3 senetence mini review crammed in the back of the mag. POOP.
