Some people have gone and said that the GameFan thread is the best thread ever on TNL. This is nonsense. Theres no way that a thread where a bunch of people reminisce (sic) about their stupid, awful, failed magazine and talk about making another stupid, destined-to-fail magazine.

Yeah, last time I check TNL was really a home to the depraved excesses of the internet and not a gaming site.

The Game Fan thread is interesting, but I doubt it's the best EVAR.

Whatever YOU think is the best thread ever, though, most cetainly isn't.

Frogacuda's "The Legendary Thread". This is a gaming site and it's a thread devoted to Wonder Boy/Monster World, the most underrated series in the gaming history.

That was a quality thread... it makes me feel that I've actually contributed something worthwhile to TNL at least once.

Nah, while I am a huge fan of the wonderboy series, Battleclash/Metal Kombat are a whole lot more underrated despite being the best gun games ever created.

Those games do rule. It's hard to judge degree of underratedness I guess. Battleclash is actually a semi common game to find in North America, moreso than any Wonder Boy game.

There are certainly much more obscure series out there than Monster World but the reason I consider it so underrated is that it really was a Zelda rival yet I pretty much never see it on any top lists from any gaming media.
