Eh, it was a non-wrestling venture by Vince McMahon, which doomed it to failure. The WWF telling the players to pay for their own winning rings was funny though. It's good to see EA prevent their competitors from even using THIS license as well. Really fantastic for the industry.

The XFL got really good ratings in its first week. So there must have been something people were expecting, and it couldn't have been "good football".
Arena Football is different. It has staying power. I really don't see why it's getting such a bad rap here. It has a lot of things going for it, really.

I've been meaning to get to a Destroyers game here in town. But I never got around to it last season. Tickets are dirt cheep so I'll find a way to make it a couple of time this year. Plus, Chris Spielman is their new head coach & GM. That outta be fun to watch.

They'd probably enforce that "No reproductions or accounts of this game are allowed without express written consent" rule, too. Somehow I can see an EA lawyer slapping a court order on someone at an office water cooler for talking about the game.
