- Parker dancing down Times Square and the whole night club thing? Yeah what was Raimi thinking? Maybe that this would be fun for the kiddies, but yeah, wow.
I think the real reason the Sandman was written like that was for the ending, where Parker learns to forgive. After seeking revenge the whole movie and having it fly back in his face, the forgiveness scene gave him a kind of redemption for what he'd done and to show he'd risen above revenge.Quote:
- Sandman/ Uncle Ben retcon extravaganza? We didnt need this. I guess Raimi felt Parker had to have some strong motivation to kill someone and the audience just wouldnt get that Black Costume was bad ass enough to push someone to do just that on its own.
Oh, I know, but did he HAVE to cry that much? I half expected him to start crying if the skinny neighbor denied him his cookies with nuts in them.
It is? I dont think so. The guys a super human crime fighter. He should have developed some thicker skin in his years as being that. With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility. And with Great Power one should grow up and not cry when some whining female breaks up with you.Quote:

It was funny and I laughed. Ill give you that. But I think it underscored how deadly the black suit could be, and it just felt awkward and out of place.Quote:

Dropping Sandman to focus on Harry, Brock and Venom would have solved loads of issues. Loved the way spiderman took out venom though, that was done really well.
It was just really disjointed, although I think they tied it up pretty well.
While there were some great action pieces the FX work was all over the place and the biggest WTF is the Jazz club scene. It turned into The Mask for crying out loud. With the dancing down the street shit, it was like Parker is so nice that even as an asshole, he's really just a mean dork. I thought he'd just fuck people up more, like toss robbers out windows and hang em up upside down naked in times square to totally humiliate them.
Edit: Oh yeah, the scene with Parker eating the cookies that the landlords daughter made was a classic.
She was like, "Fuck yeah I'll do it."
Its because they were sooooo good.
No, that was the pie, bitch.
