Yu-Gi-Oh Online

I’m just giving people heads up, Konami released beta version of their PC version of Yu-Gi-Oh online, in the latest Shonen Jump on both sides of the Western pond.

I’ve been playing this game for a couple of days, and its pretty fun. There are no animations, ala the anime/mana, or the console games. Its just straight version of the card game, except its in online form. You start of with a beginning starter deck, and after each game you receive one random card, from a booster pack.

If you got this the hit me up, My name on the game is kobun, I’m not that good, but I can at least teach you the basics, and give you some of the duplicates I have to give you a better start. You can also contact me on AIM on xxxmaruchanxxx…

Is there a place to download it? I have a Shonen Jump subscription but it goes to my nephews' house since I moved out of there.

i've been meaning to pick this up, but the demo version doesn't suppoert 56k modems. only the fancy stuff. i guess when the game finally does come out i'll make the switch.

I just started playing it to pass some time... Its actuallly pretty well done. I didn't expect the game to play as smoooth as it does. The starter deck is somewhat decent, but not very fancy at all. I'm SpankHappy, hit me up if you see me.

kind of informal bump,

But again if you just started look for me, i have tons of useless cards, that i know would benfiet a level 1, who hasnt opened that many packs player.

Lost my first duel... I was an idiot and clicked on my Wall of Illusion thinking it will give me an option of attack or defense, but it just went into attack mode. I have thus learned my lesson. Right click to set! Seems pretty cool so far.

You'll have no problem getting used to this. It's more like the PC version (obviously) and I like it better than the interface of the GBA versions because you can switch phases with a click of a button instead of having the computer ask you through each phase.

I still haven't seen the issue the CD is in, but I'll check tomorrow.

Finally got to play couple games before work today. My first win came cause the other gy disconnected, I slammed the second guy, after that I kept getting invites like no tomorrow. You start with a nice selection of cards too, I thought they'd be total crap.

I'm level 8, and so is Maru. It's pretty easy to get there, though. Doesn't seem to go higher than that either for now. They reset the levels and scores at the beginning of every month so if you haven't that yet, be prepared for it. If you need some help or some cards, I'm sure I can give you some decent ones to help you out with.

I was wondering why my points were reset, thought it was because I just hit lvl 5 before it happened. Like I said:
