Sonic Team Announces Two Vague Sonic Games.

So, there we are. Two new Sonic games. After Sonic Heroes, I'm almost scared to see what they'll be.

I'm getting absolutely sick of Sonic. His games for the Genesis were fine, but I've completely lost track of his newer ones. I've played a few of them, and they are horrible. Sonic lost his charm somewhere around his Dreamcast debut, IMHO of course.

Sonic lost his charm when it wasn't about Sonic anymore. I don't care for this bullshit around the tertiary characters either in the gameplay or story. I want Sonic, running fast, and killing things while going fast. Oh, and with a decent camera.

I love the video I've seen of Sonic DS, as it seems to make great use of the dual screen setup. GC Sonic, I'll have to see before shitting all over it.

Having not played Heroes yet, I'll say Sonic Adventure is my fave. It had just the right amount of exploration mixed in with the speed and woulda been better with just Sonic, Tails and Knuckles. I have never even bothered to finish whatsis-name the Cat's levels or Amy's. *yawn*

It's all been downhill since Sonic CD.

The DS title in development was shown at last year's E3; didn't look all that promising. The featured level basically required the player to frantically rub the stylus to make Sonic run -- lifting the stylus off the touch screen made him jump. Novetly factor is on high, the concept could use some work.

Yeah, and where can I get one? Oh, never mind, I wouldn't use it...

I predict both of these games will be shit. Theres tons of recent evidence for this.

If the game features ONLY sonic I will be interested. The side characters are lame and just detract from what the game is about. Just make it a whole bunch of levels, no shitty hub, no back tracking to collect all sorts of other jive. Just make Sonic The Hedghog in 3D.
