And yes, I realize they trot her out every so often. It's coming during this Bush Administration. Maybe not this year, but before 2008. Anyone who thinks it's safe is a fool. It would be dangerous to the Republican party not to deliver on this with Democrats currently rethinking party stance. I know my response: no sex until I get a vasectomy. Unfortunately, though, most people aren't that smart.
What's funny is I was listening to the Tom Leykis show last night because my iPod died. He was talking to this 17 year-old girl who was two months pregnant trying to argue with facts proving that children of young mothers are more likely to become criminals, drug abusers and whatnot. Her argument consisted of stuff like, "You're dumb, those studies aren't true, I'll raise my kid just fine." Meanwhile, she had no clue where she was going to get the money to raise the child, assuming her parents and her boyfriend and his parents would help. The boyfriend, of course, was a boyfriend of six months and she didn't know what he did for a living aside from, "He does insurance." Meh. I'll just laugh when the same people opposed to abortion begin to complain about tax increases to support state-paid day care and whatnot for all these future hoodlums who should have been aborted.
