Here's an advice:
I once thought HUNK was a weak character, but after playing in the Village, he's actually the second most effective character in the mini-game next to Krauser. His only weapons are a machine-gun and grenades, which actually works in his favor, since you don't need to worry about enemies dropping ammo for useless weapons such as handguns like Leon, Ada and Wesker does. Also, his neckbreaker is the only attack besides Krauser's claw that kills those annoying Bella Sisters immediately.

I played HUNK for the first time last night and had what I was certain was a 5* run with in the castle, only to get killed with 2.9 left. He is a pretty solid character.

Tip:
I found Wesker to the best character for the Castle stage. His sniper rifle is the most effective weapon agaisnt the so-called "Garradores". You need to use a grenade (regular or flame will do) to weaken him down first and then shoot him only a couple of times to take him down. There are only three garradores in the stage (and two of them only appears in a certain room with a treasure chest) and once you deal with them, you'll only have the zealots to worry about. I probably would've gotten a higher score if I had actually used my Magnum (I only kept using the sniper rifle agaisnt them, which kills them instantly either way). Ada probably would've been good too for the Castle if she wasn't such a weakling.

Johnny is totally right about that, just snap the bitch's neck and it's an instant kill.

Finally! I've managed to get all five-stars in Mercenaries.

As you may know, it unlocks the Handcannon in the main game, which is powerful enough to "hunt an elephant" as the Merchant would say. I managed to purchase all the upgrades (including it's exclusive, unlimited ammo) right from the start, although I didn't save the data. Enemies tend to drop quite a bit of Handcannon bullets too when you kill them.

Anyway, here's my latest score.

He's a more well-rounded than Leon, despite not having a strong shotgun. His silencer is pretty effective for headshots, while the magnum and the sniper rifle can get rid of the real killers (the claw guy, the gunner, and the chainsaw guy).

Sqoon pretty much said it all. He also has a good supply of grenades, which means you can use the flash grenades agaisnt multiple ganados and use a thrust punch to take them out. You can also fire grenades to stun some of the bigger enemies like the Garrador and Giant Salvador, allowing a chance to kill them.

For Wesker, his main advantage is that his heel kick is the most devastating melee attack (aside from Krauser's special). Pop one guy in a group in the shin to get him on his knees, run up and melee attack, the kick will kill anyone that's close.

I didn't get much time with him last night (just unlocked him) , but he's got great possibilities.

I had one run that would have overshadowed it, but I got greedy on the lower level and got killed in a mad dash to the time extension... I had a 38 combo going at that point, I think.

I played for a bit more after posting those scores last night and just sucked for the most part. The village stage is a total bitch to get through without being instant killed, infinitely respawning Bella Sisters is bullshit. I was being chased by 5 of them at one point.

It should. You probably missed a stage or two with a certain character.

Keep in mind you must get a five-stars rank through each stage with all characters. In other words, you must play a single stage five times (once for each character) and get a fve-stars rating all the time.

There isn't a way to tell which I would have missed, is there?

Still can't get a really good Village score. Those chainsaw sisters pwn me so bad... by halfway through there are at least 3 in every pack. There also seems to be a bad lack of safe places on the map, almost everywhere has a spot for them to get in and take you from 2 sides.

Yeah, the only halfway decent spot is on the second floor of the barn with the hourglass and you can't even pick up any ammo the guys drop. Though I think by the time you have a pack of Bella Sisters chasing you, you should have a fairly decent reserve of ammo, grenades, and heal items.

My best score with Hunk in the village level is 136,980. The chainsaw sisters are actually a blessing in disguise. Since Hunk can break their necks they are an easy 5000 points.

Damn! I just came here thinking I got a really high Wesker score in the Village stage. Here it is anyway.

I did managed get a record-breaking Hunk score, but I got greedy and was killed by a simple Ganado (not even a fucking Bella sister).

Since Hunk has such a weak weapon, you're forced to run around a lot and activate a bunch of bad guys (the usual problem I had with Waterworld was that there were never enough guys to keep a good chain going). Also got lucky in this round since I only had to deal with one chainsaw guy.

Village: 5 stars, enemies killed in the 100's, in a row low 40's, score 151,XXX, character used hunk.

Castle: 5 stars, enemies killed 153, in a row 90, score 176,843, character used wesker.

Island: 5 stars, enemies killed 86, in a row 35, scores 105,160, character used wesker.
this may be the only leverl where im beat. after a while the enemies just stop coming out.

water world: 5 stars, enemies killed 115, in a row 34, scores 115, 470, character used krauser.
same thing happens here. depending on where you are on the map, ganados just stop spawning.

im not sure if i know what im doing but my higest score is 180750 for wesker in the castle with 102 kills in a row 126500 for hunk in the farm 97700 on the island with leon and 107550 on water world with krauser

i think proof is necesary. a picture of the highest score cause these scores can be bs.

i dont have a web cam or what ever u need all iknow is that i did it and my score gets hire evertime i play it went to 120 ,145,157,172,176,1800750, i wolud never have gotten it if i haddened beat it for the 4th time because my mem card corrupted so i coppied it and it did not save my high score and i was in the mood and it just happened so sue me

That is true. tevord's scores have been removed. Will repost when verification has been recieved.

From this point forward I do request photographic proof of any high scores from forum member with less than 6 months of membership. Once you provide proof of one high score, all other score will be taken on word alone, unless the score is Tens of Thousand above the previous high score.

well i thought i would never get my score back but i coppied the system but i will find away to get a picture on this site

Why do you care about impressing a bunch of people in a forum you don't even post at? I mean it's cool that you got such a high score, but it's annoying to see our score tables topped by unfamiliar names who will likely never be seen here again.

hey guys. i definitely have pictures of proof of high scores on a digital camera. but i need some help as to uploading them. im a dumbass when it comes to thhat kind of stuff. do i need a driver to upload the data from the cam?

i try to remember to snap a shot every time i get a new best score but sometimes i forget. sorry for the glare spots too, i cant figure out how to turn off the flash on this piece. these show the high scores for hunk on the village map and for wesker on the castle map. the snapshot of the castle high score doesnt show the stats for my highest score but proves i got it. i think its possible to break 200 thou.

My high score on the Island is 139,700. The biggest thing that I have seen is getting 4 kills on the MACHINE GUN man. 71 kills in a row with 98 total kills.

Wow, someone lives! Yeah thats a great site, I and most of the other high scores people use it to help with strategies and stuff. you have to understand though, the scores there that are on tha japanese verison are different. It is possible to get considerably higher scores on the JAP version than the American one.

The differences are fairly subtle and Im not 100% sure of everything. They are different for each level as well. I know for the village the villageers will come out of building in groups and will walk much more slowly allowing you to make faster kills, conserve ammo, and get more kills on the kill bonus chests. There also may be spawning differences buit Im not sure about that. The AI's movement is the biggest difference as far as I know. In most high score sites we will put Japanese scores into a different category than american ones. So in that way, there will be a highest score for th ajapnese version and highest scor efor the american version.

mmmm wheskers it seems you have reach a considerable high score with that wesker in village, though I´m far from getting near that yet, at this point my highest score can´t pass from 171020 with HUNK, anyways keep improving=)

I popped in mercs today cuz i wanted to do some kinda shooting, i get bored sometimes....the game RE4 is fun....the first 2 times i beat it, but then i unlocked Mercenaries, its basically like RE4 isnt the game, Mercenaries is the game, RE4 is jus the system ^_^ I was lucky enough to grab all 3 of the 1000pts per kill things so i managed some extra pts out of it but a few set backs stopped me from going higher If you want any proof i have a link to a pic i took:
