A charity auction at Sundance Film Festival raises big bucks.
A charity auction held at Sundace Film Festival in Park City, Utah raised money for charity. Three Nintendo DS units, with exclusive color patterns, were auctioned off to celebrities in attendence at the silent auction. Jay Mohr bid $10,00 for a swirling blue DS, while Nintendo added an additional $5,000 to his donation. Poppy Montgomery won a DS for $2,500 that was a green color, and Alan Cumming bid $1,500 for a copper-brown DS.
The money raised is being used to benefit a children's hospital and the Asian Tsunami relief effort.

Those things are ugly as sin.

Jay Mohr? I thought it was a celebrity auction.

Their money went to charity. Hence the big bids.
Not that hard to figure out.

I saw one in Nintendo Power that had some kind of outer-space design, but no matter how ugly it looked, it wasn't nearly as awful as any of those.

They look cool. And kudos to them for their donation.

That bronze one would probably look nice with a gold finish.
