Catch! Touch! Yoshi! An NFG Review

I have purchased and played Catch! Touch! Yoshi! today. I think it's great, and here's why.

Regarding the PSP and Kutaragi's recent comments, I have a reply. And for those wondering about the fragility of the thing, it's really not as bad as you might think. A certain video's been making the rounds where some spoiled rich kids get out of their RX-8 and videotape themselves beating the shit out of a shiny new PSP. It takes a lot of abuse before things start falling off. My Sony MD player went through a lot without breaking too...

The problem with Sony's shoddy gear is that it's broken from the start. If you're lucky enough to get one that's not self destructing in a week you'll usually have good luck.

Some other updates to NFG Games include:
a rare X68000 game
a PC Engine modem prototype
Anatomy of a joystick

and other worthless crap.

There's a seperate board for reader reviews, you know.

Separate has only one E, and if I'd posted the bits about the PSP and the other gear in reader reviews you'd slap me 'cause "That's not a review!".

In my further defense, it's not a review post, it's a link to one. And I think it's better to make one post than three. =)

But anyway, great impressions. It actually makes me want it less now that I know there are no set levels, bosses, or objectives. Very disappointing to hear =(

Oddly contrary to what Mzo said, it kinda made me want it more. dunno why, just seems like a nice casual game, and while i like heart-pounding boss rounds as much as the next guy, it's no fun when the bus shows up and I'm in the middle of something.

Randomly generated levels? Sold! I love a good dynamic challenge I can't get through just by memorization. :D
