Ragarding the HDD - I've heard that some of them come with a 5400 RPM drive, while others come with slower drives. The Anandtech review of it is pretty good if you're looking for more info on it:

The HD is not only slow, but it gets worked horribly because of the lack of RAM. The thing is almost non-functional unless you pop a 512Meg simm, which is unfortunate because that's not something the target user for the minimac is willing/able to do.

You can but it's ill suited to it, because of the low processor and HD speed. Getting one "Just for video editing" is like getting a Dodge Neon just for off road driving. It's fine for what it is, but it's not a powerhouse.

All free! I traded in about 15 really old PC games (such as C&C Red Alert and Tiberian Sun) to the local store, and he gave me about 47 dollars in credit. EB would have given me about 5 dollars, give or take.

First console games I've gotten in almost 5 months at this point.

Yeah I'm going to get the 1.25 GHz model and plan on upping it to at least 512MB, or a Gig of RAM. The 512 is only $80 from Crucial so it's a very affordable option. I don't plan on doing video editing, only page layout/image editing so the Mini should be fine. My Beige G3 desktop has been a pain in the ass lately so I'm parting it out and selling it off. I was going to upgrade that to 1GHz but the processor alone is almost as much as the entire Mini.

Just picked up a complete Shinobi 3 off of Ebay for 10 bucks.

My wife got me Gradius V for my Birthday.

The latter is a Hong Kong comic localized by ComicsOne. It has some really nice art sprinkled thoughout, though it sports the weird HK comic tradition of some panels being painted, and some being lineart with sharp, mechanical lines, which are almost polar opposite styles that suffer from constant juxtaposition. The story, of course, is a train wreck. It's nice as a redux art book. I'll try and scan some pages over the weekend.

Now I have never heard of this series before and the box is devoid of any information but a small blurb about fighting a evil of some sort. For $39.99 I decided to take a gamble, get the set home and open it up to find 2 men on every cover of each of the 4 DVDs. Well that is nothing unusual for an anime (they were shooting bows and fighting with swords). I flip over the last DVD and there is a pic of the 2 guys kissing :eep:

I mistakenly purchased a gay anime DVD set :bang:

Oh well, I'll give it to my cousin she digs that shit.
