you're the man.
Edit: Scratch that, FIF is your favorite band and they are the worst talent in the history of ska music.
You are a spit valve now.

I like tuna.
Does tuna make me better? I think it does.
bump for important notice on 1st page regarding all further animations and where they will be stored.
THE GALLERY IS NOW ONLINE
Feel free to peruse the gallery located on the nav bar link selection thing on the left side of the main page, then go in and snag any animation you want(plus all of the new Silent Hill 3 stuff I was working on).
I love how you give us the link, but you're making 4chan members beg.Quote:

Been expermenting a bit again..
This one is a little too big I think, but I am trying to do some more Top Gear ones..

After watching Pink Floyd's Live In Pompei, I HAD to do a Roger going nuts with the Gong one...

And my new Halloweeen Sig Pic, temporarly replacing my top gear one..

While those work, you and I both know there's way to many frames of animation and the file size(s) is a bit big. To fix that(my 'fixed' versions are attached at the bottom of this post), you can just take out frames you don't need, or shorten your animation(notice how i made your 'gong' animation loop while i dropped it a good 300kb?). You can easily tell where I edited the animations to better optimize file size(go ahead and compare 'em side by side in your favorite gif editor).
Overall it was a very VERY good effort. Just gotta remember that when making sigs, try to keep them under 500kb at the MAX.
Things to watch out for as you perfect the craft:
1)Try to develop an eye for making animations loop when you can. Especially if it helps the overall flow, or can lower file size.
2)When doing animations, the less background movement/noise, the better the optimization will be(and the smaller the file size will be). When that can't be helped, pray that you can get a decent file size out of it at around 256pixels wide.
A great example regarding the difference constant motion causes when trying to optimize an animation:
http://www.pimp-productions.com/gall...tion-small.gif
Notice the completely static background, as the only moving object is the character itself. This leaves the entire background to be shared AMONG frames(thus not requiring it to be drawn in every single frame of the animation). This is when optimization works it's absolute best. Secondly, if an image has no background motion, you can usually get away with making it a tad larger than normal as the file size will still stay REALLY low(my current sig-image is a perfect example of this).
http://www.pimp-productions.com/gall...ema-small2.gif
See how the background moves in almost every frame as she starts to crouch? This means that the optimization doesnt have the ability to share the color/palatte information between frames(ie; it has to draw the background for each frame), which makes the file size larger(I even dropped the color quality down to 128[from 256] on this to lower the file size even moreso.)
Hope this helps out as you do more animations, if you got any other questions feel free to lemme know.
After some small work in animations today, I think i'm onto something regarding 'dithering'(dithering an animation usually makes the file size HUGE while adding small pixels of color everywhere to try and make an 8-bit animation look 24-bit).
My new sig(lsl-tilly3.gif) is actually FULLY dithered, but it still clocks in at a paltry 409kb for it's quality/size. While this is normally a fairly large size for such a small animation(256pixels wide), most animations that are dithered are EXTREMELY large(1.5 megs and up)...this could be very useful if I figure out how it works exactly.
