Ok, I'm watching the news, and they said they won't be paying to fix the Hubble telescope. They later went on to talk about the 80 something billion bucks we are going to spend this year on the military.
=/ they are just going to let the Hubble burn up and die.
They all suck, those fucking bastards. I’m sick of killing sand monkeys, I want more space stuff.
The Hubble Space Telescope deserves funding, AmTrak deserves funding, 'faith-based' initiatives do not, Laura Bush's plans to try and bore kids into not joining gangs does not, Bush's garbage annuity plan that doesn't attempt to fix social security as much as make people think it does while he STILL cuts benefits..That REALLY doesn't deserve funding.
Who cares about exploring the vast and beautiful endlessness that is our universe or searching for extraterrestrial intelligent life?

I've heard that Amtrak only got funding because Amtrak was pressured to service areas (pressured by the state reps) that aren't profitable. So they've been wasting money by sending trains to places that don't make them money--now that they're on their own, they could can those lines and possible be self-sufficient (which would be nice).Quote:

They wouldn't do anything worthwhile with the money. The security guys sit around in between trains and don't even check any baggage. I could easily bring a bomb onto one of their trains, at least up here.
Amtrak pwns buses and planes. So roomy and comfortable. Just expensive.
Their Sun. train from Portland to Seattle is late 2+ hours every time.

I have no problem with de-orbitting the Hubble. It's served well beyond its years, now it can serve the Bush administration one more time by "accidentally" deorbitting itself into Tehran.
